Our Story

In 2004 a group of people made up of some folks from Rosemere/Rose Village in Vancouver Washington purchased what used to be a pipe organ pizza parlor called Uncle Milt's.  With a vision to provide a community center for youth that was fun, safe, and Christ centered. New Life was the congregation, the Lord's Gym was the outreach. With a big time makeover to turn what was once a large pizza parlor filled with kids, and bubbles, and pizza they were able to create a space where kids could play basketball during the week, and have a church service on Sunday's. 

As time moved on the church and the Lord's Gym saw times of great success and times of slower movement. In 2023 New Life made a new push for a vision of youth outreach, community services, recovery, and most importantly lives being transformed for Christ. Pastor John Bishop and his Wife Michelle returned to Vancouver after several years, and a new outlook on what it means to be forgiven, what it means to be among the least of these and to meet true followers of Christ. With great humility and a vision to serve New Life launched itself anew in 2024

Each week the Leadership Team at New Life is working together to help get services to those in need, to share the Good News of the Gospel, and to grow up believers to a deeper relationship with God. We do this through community services, a boxing program, full recovery services and peer counseling, housing and employment help, food to the hungry, great Teaching of the Word, and a group of people who love God and love each other. We look forward to the growth and exciting movement that is coming to Rose Village, and outward to the rest of the world!
